UK Ranger Regiment

The UK Ranger Regiment is the main combat element of Taskforce Alpha. While distinct from the Tier 1 Special Forces, the Rangers work in close proximity to provide high-intensity combat support and unconventional warfare capabilities.

Operational Roles

Direct Action

High-intensity urban and rural combat operations. Rangers are tasked with the primary assault mandate, seizing and holding key objectives.

Air Assault & Mechanized

Rapid deployment via JSFAW rotary assets or mechanized infantry platforms. The Regiment maintains high mobility in all operational theaters.

Security & Route Clearance

Securing supply lines and maintaining a safe operational environment for the wider taskgroup.

Force Elements

Infantry Sections

The primary tactical component of the Rangers. We currently maintain two fully operational infantry sections tasked with high-intensity combat and partner force engagement.

Tactical Air Control Party (TACP)

Specialized personnel embedded within the Rangers to coordinate precision air support and joint fire effects with JSFAW assets.

Armoured Detail

Tasked with the operation and maintenance of the taskforce’s armored vehicle fleet, providing mobile protected firepower in hostile environments.

Entry & Progression

The Ranger Regiment is the Primary Entry Point for all ground-based candidates.
