The Joint Special Forces Aviation Wing (JSFAW) provides Taskforce Alpha with essential air capabilities, including transport, reconnaissance, and Close Air Support (CAS).
Core Operational Domains
Transport & Logistics
Delivery of SF teams deep into hostile territory and rapid extraction under fire. Platforms include the Wildcat, Merlin, Chinook, and C-130 Hercules.
Air Attack & CAS
Precision suppression and offensive strikes using platforms such as the Apache or F-35 to secure extraction zones and support ground operations.
Intelligence & ISR
Fixed-wing drone operators provide the unit with persistent surveillance and target acquisition using Predator and Reaper platforms.
Entry & Progression
JSFAW is the entry point for all aviation candidates. You start as Ground Crew while training to gain your pilot wings.
- Rotary Phase: Master rotary airframes such as Pumas, Lynx, and Chinooks.
- Attack Phase: Earn the rank of Sgt to transition into attack helicopters.
- Fixed Wing: Commission to the RAF as a Flight Lt to operate fixed-wing assets and drones.
